Buying or selling a home is amongst the biggest financial decision you’ll ever make, so you’ll want the best service, advice and value for money possible.
So, which real estate agents are moving Aussies in the right direction, and which should be packing their bags?
To find out which real estate agents rate highest across Australia, Canstar Blue has for a second year surveyed Australians who have employed an agent over the last three years, whether it related to buying or selling a property, lease management or renting. In 2016, Australians placed First National first and this year they’ve done it again.
Impressing more than any other firm
Canstar Blue found First National has been impressing more than any other firm, taking out five-star reviews from clients in almost every single category, including problem resolution, communication & advice, and value for money. In fact, no other brand achieved top marks in any area.
Canstar Blue has revealed 31% of consumers value an agent’s ‘problem resolution skills’ as the number one contributor to their satisfaction.
The second most significant contributor, according to 28% of customers, is ‘communication and advice’.
First National Chief Executive Ray Ellis says “This research confirms that customers value an agent’s ability to anticipate and resolve challenges that arise while selling a client’s home or managing their investment property. This award is testament to the real estate expertise of our 4,600 strong network of real estate agents and their commitment to customer satisfaction.’
The only brand to rate five stars

To conduct its research independently, Canstar Blue engaged Colmar Brunton to survey 3,000 Australian adults across a range of categories measuring customer satisfaction.
Customers in the survey group were required to have used the services of a real estate agent in the past three years. In the last three years First National Real Estate has been awarded the ‘Most Satisfied Customers’ award twice in Australia and once in New Zealand, affirming its lead over competitor agents.
